He is an artist with a deep passion and appreciation for music, which he talks about below. Scroll to read the interview and check out his single ‘Alright’ below.

POParazzi: When did you first realize your passion for music?

The Wild Wild: It’s hard to pinpoint a timeframe. Music has always been a huge part of my life since I can remember. Listening, playing, writing, creating music has always just been a part of who I am. Runs in the family.

POParazzi: Once you realized you wanted to create music, how did you go about starting your career?

The Wild Wild: I was teaching music and also performing and jamming with my friends. Once I started to release it through the proper channels, I connected with so many other musicians and things sort of came together.

POParazzi: Who/what influenced your music and your progress so far?

The Wild Wild: I’m inspired by everything. People I meet, places I go, and of course the music. The Beatles, OutKast, Paul Simon, The Cars, Jackson 5, Van Morrison, ATCQ, Paper Route, Queen. I could go on and on.

POParazzi: You’ve had success with your song “When We Were Young” getting over 4 million streams on Spotify, how do you feel towards your fans?

The Wild Wild: I feel a special bond and hope that people continue to enjoy the music that I’m making. [“When We Were Young”] is a special tune, and I’m happy that everyone gave it a warm welcome.

POParazzi: How would you best describe your sound and the style of your music?

The Wild Wild: I guess the lines are blurred in the genres, maybe I would say Alternative Indie Pop. I’m not a fan of labels, I like to describe it as good music, great music. It’s laid back but also makes you want to pay attention to what you’re hearing.

POParazzi: Out of all the songs you’ve created, which would be your favorite?

The Wild Wild: That’s a really hard question. That’s like asking who is your favorite child. No comment.

POParazzi: What do you hope those who listen to your music feel for it?

The Wild Wild: I hope they connect with it, enjoy themselves while listening to it and want to hear it again and again.

POParazzi: What is the most fun experience you’ve had as an artist so far?

The Wild Wild: There has been so many fun times – touring […] Europe in a car stands out as an interesting and fun adventure.

POParazzi: Can you remember the first song you ever wrote?

The Wild Wild: When I was a kid, a really special song about Superman (or maybe it was Superwoman actually.)

POParazzi: How has music changed your life?

The Wild Wild: For the better, of course! It’s a massive creative outlet for me and such an incredible way to connect with people all over the world. Music is a universal language.

POParazzi: How has the time you’ve spent as an artist had an impact on other parts of your life?

The Wild Wild: I think being an artist has taken me down a certain path. I wouldn’t say it’s dictated who I am, but it’s definitely had an effect on places I’ve been, people I’ve met and situations that I’ve been in.

POParazzi: Is it crazy to think how far you’ve come since you started out?

The Wild Wild: Ha. It’s been a journey and adventure for sure. Never a dull moment.

POParazzi: What can we expect from you in the future?

The Wild WIld: Lots and lots of music from The Wild Wild this year. I have so many songs that I just can’t wait to put out and share with the world.
