Watch: Troye Sivan – ‘Heaven’ Music Video

Troye Sivan has released a music video for the Blue Neighbourhood track “HEAVEN” featuring Betty Who. The song speaks about the internal struggle of LGBTQ youth growing up and questioning their sense of self. Speaking about the video and the gay community, Sivan said “We have always been here. We will always be here. This video is dedicated to all who’ve come before me and fought for our cause and those who now continue the fight. In dark and light times, let’s love forever.”

The clip is wistfully black and white, adding a sense of seriousness to the lyrics. Clips of gay people are interspersed between shots of Sivan singing; people march for gay rights, a lesbian couple hugs,  wedding rings are placed on the hands of a couple during a marriage ceremony.
