It’s no surprise that Lana Del Rey has released a simple, elegant and cinematic visual for her Lust for Life track ‘White Mustang.’ The track does what Del Rey’s previous single, ‘Lust for Life,’ couldn’t get right, making up for its repetitive chorus with beefy verses that paint a beautiful picture of the emotions Del Rey was feeling as she penned the song. Haunting whistles add that signature Americana sound to the track, boosted by the sounds of a motor revving on the outro. This is classic Lana Del Rey.
Thankfully, the video is, too. Del Rey spends much of the clip’s duration with her man, and even when the two are apart they long for each other’s embrace. Visually, the clip features no lip-syncing, focusing more on Del Rey and her beau’s romance and the love they share. The emotions are palpable, and the video culminates with the two reunited and dancing in the middle of the city without a care in the world.
Watch the new clip below, and don’t miss the outro music, featuring ‘Get Free’ from Lust for Life.
