Jane Bell Gets “Illuminaughty” to Save Pop Music

The Bold & Brash Pop Singer Does Whatever it Takes to Reignite the Pop Music Scene

“Pop is dying, I’m the savior,” Jane Bell proudly proclaims on all of her social media profiles. It’s a bold claim — and one she’s determined to make true if her latest release, ‘Illuminaughty’ is any indication. The track, released today, follows up the release of ‘Mother Ate‘ earlier this year — an incredibly infectious song that flirts with religious imagery and modern slang and is an utter masterpiece.

With ‘Illuminaughty’, Bell proves that her clever lyrics and unashamed pop production are here to stay. There’s a genius in the track that’s hard to pinpoint as Bell sings about being dissatisfied with a lover who’s just not adventurous enough for her. “He’s overworked, and I’m underf*cked,” she growls, proudly proclaiming herself as a member of the “Illuminaughty”. “I broke the rules and I need some cuffs.”

The song playfully conjures up longstanding images of the mysterious Illuminati organization that’s seen in just about every conspiracy theory surrounding celebrities and their rise to fame. “I don’t wanna take it slow, I just wanna my name in gold. Get me on a dollar bill!”

Pop music may be dying — the last few years have certainly seen the pop landscape taking a shift away from the bold and powerful songs of the late aughts that saw artists like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry blossoming on the scene. Thankfully, Jane Bell is determined to resurrect the entire genre, even if she has to do it all by herself.

‘Illuminaughty’ is available on all streaming platforms now. Keep up with Jane Bell via her official website and at @JaneBellSucks on social media.
