Listen: Adée – ‘Wasted On You’

Soulful hip-hop/pop makes for an emotional and cinematic track

Swedish singer and producer Adée has just released her latest single, the emotional and rousing ‘Wasted On You.’ It can be hard to pinpoint just what Adée’s music sounds like, thanks to her diverse musical background.

Adée started playing flute at the age of nine, before focusing on singing and rap at age 15 – a talent that received a strong backing from her family. On songs like ‘Wasted On You,’ she traverses the musical landscape, fusing elements of hip-hop with soul and pop. Her voice is strong and full of emotion, and the track’s production is cinematic, both wild and restrained.

‘Wasted On You’ finds Adée bridging her sonic gap towards a more pop sound than ever before. She’s been touring and performing around the world since 2013, visiting New York in 2016 to write and record new music with some of the industry’s top artists. ‘Wasted On You’ is the first of these songs from her forthcoming EP.

Listen to ‘Wasted On You’ below. Keep up with Adée on Facebook and Twitter.
