Dua Lipa has come far from her gig last March at the Rock N Roll Hotel in DC. Having performed on SNL, Lipa has now partnered up with DJ/producer Whethan for the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. The result is quite sizzling and steamy — more than appropriate for the film franchise.
Unlike Liam Payne & Rita Ora’s duet, Lipa proves she doesn’t need another vocalist on the track to ooze sex appeal. “Don’t ask me to be righteous if you practice what you teach / Counting all your blessings the second you’re down on your knees” she croons.
The song’s chorus is simple, with Lipa urging her lover to get a little high. Whethan crafts a perfectly produced track, managing to fuse an almost salacious beat with Lipa’s already deep and titillating voice. This is definitely one to add to the ‘Let’s Get It On’ playlist.
