Music Video: Paramore – ‘Rose-Colored Boy’

80s morning TV never looked so good

Paramore’s latest music video for their single ‘Rose-Colored Boy’ is hilariously campy and an all around delight. In the clip, the band’s singer Hayley Williams confronts anxieties and societal expectations to always be happy and see things through rose-colored glasses.

The video takes place with the band being the stars of a morning television newscast, Wake Up! Roseville, showing all the stress and worries that take place behind the scenes. Eventually, Williams has a bit of an on-set breakdown — one that cleverly parodies Bill O’Reilly’s rant to ‘do it live.’ From there, the band lets loose and rocks out.

‘Rose-Colored Boy’ is a delightful video and song, with both telling a story. The video makes the song even more memorable, but on its own, the song still shines with its catchy chorus and melodic verses.

Watch ‘Rose-Colored Boy’ below. The song is from their album After Laughter, available now.
