RuPaul’s Drag Race season six finalist and American Idol alum Adore Delano released a music video for the track ‘DTF’ on Monday, coinciding with the Drag Race finale. The song and its accompanying video are as raunchy as you’d expect from Adore. With lyrics like “Wednesday’s panties on a Friday night”, it’s obvious there’s no hidden meaning behind the acronym DTF. While Adore obviously has some great pipes, they’re a bit wasted on the track, but it’s still rather catchy with a good beat. In the video, Adore looks better than ever strutting her stuff in a laundromat and giving chola realness on the playground. ‘DTF’ isn’t bad, and at times the production and even Adore’s voice remind me of Simon Curtis, an extremely underrated artist that’s produced some absolute pop gems.
If Adore keeps releasing songs, they hopefully will show off her vocals more. ‘DTF’ is a pretty video with a catchy song, and could very well be the start of a successful career in music for the drag star.
