Woman, woman! Diana Gordon has released a music video to her female empowerment anthem ‘Woman.’ Gordon previously went by the stage name Wynter (remember how she made a Flo Rida song actually good with ‘Sugar’?) She also has writing credits on Beyonce’s Lemonade, and the beautiful and witty lyrics on ‘Woman’ show why she’d be working with the Queen Bey. “Woman, woman! One hand on her pussy and the other on her Harley,” Gordon sings before launching into the track’s chorus. “God gave you the answer when he gave you the woman / I know you’re the man but don’t forget where you come from!” Genius.
Speaking about the creation of the song and music video for ‘Woman’, Gordon said, “This song […] is rock & roll reincarnated, [it] celebrates your mother, my mother, your sister, and my sister. [The song is] my way to stand up for the woman next to me and all those unseen. We need each other and the world really needs us right now.”
This summer, Diana released “The Legend Of,” her first release under her given name and a powerful depiction of her life story. Purchase ‘Woman’ on iTunes.
