Brandyn Burnette of Cosmos & Creature has released a new single, ‘Escape’, a progressive-soul track about being imprisoned in your own mind. “This is a funeral,” Burnette sings grimly, “Some things you take to the grave.” As Burnette pleads for the listener to guide him to the light, the track gets dark and brooding with an interesting psychedelic rock guitar instrumental. Throughout the 3:30 minute runtime, “Escape” repeats itself, with slight twists and bends in production that keep it from ever feeling stale or monotonous.
