Katy Perry – ‘I Kissed A Girl’ (Prismatic World Tour Live)

Katy Perry released a video of her performing ‘I Kissed A Girl’ from her upcoming Prismatic World Tour Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD release. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard of Katy Perry, her music (especially ‘I Kissed A Girl’) and know her shtick.

The video is just what you’d expect from a Katy Perry concert. There’s lots of energy, lighting, twerking mummies (?) and whatnot. The cinematography and editing of the concert do a good job of hiding the fact that Katy is not the best vocalist, but it’s unlikely anyone in the audience was expecting anything other than a fun night. There’s certainly heaps of fun and distractions to keep even the shortest of attention spans, despite the fact as soon as Perry’s vocals begin, it is obvious she is not in the same caliber of other pop divas when it comes to performing live. The concert preview offers nothing you wouldn’t already expect from Katy, and it’s unlikely the full 145 minute concert that’s coming out on the 30th will either. If you’re a fan of Katy’s you’ll be in for a treat, but otherwise there’s nothing remarkable to convert you to a fan.
