Who would’ve thought mixing Kylie Minogue with a pinch of Dolly Parton would sound so good? Obviously Kylie Minogue knew this — her new single ‘Dancing’ from forthcoming album Golden is superb. But let’s be honest — can Kylie do any wrong?
All things considered, Golden will be Minogue’s 14th studio album, and ‘Dancing’ sounds as if she’s still in her stride with no plans of letting up any time soon.
Simplicity is the magic number with the chorus; Minogue sings ‘When I go out, I wanna go dancing.’ Verses are similarly romantic and simple, with the song’s bridge being the most rousing moment as Kylie beckons the listener to cherish their day and dance it up:
When the final curtain falls, we could say we did it all
The never ending of a perfect day!
