Music Video: Dani Robert – ‘Clouds’

Debut video shows off Robert’s pipes

Dani Robert’s debut music video is one wonderful introduction to the Canadian singer.  Gord Poon and Long Truong direct the music video for the song, and the black and white, simplistic video lets Robert’s voice shine — and boy, does she have a set of pipes.

Dani finesses the track, showcasing her talent and range. ‘Clouds’ is a sweet song about love and friendship set to a pop/dance beat. Its production manages to mix the best of both acoustic and more mainstream pop, letting Robert flex her vocal muscle with relative production at times, before leading up to a full-on synth chorus with vocal warbles. It’s an interesting mixture, and it sure does work here.

Speaking about the song, Robert says, “‘Clouds’ demonstrates the challenge of speaking what’s in your heart, exploring vulnerability, the subjectivity of human connection, love, and time.” Watch the video below.
