Billie Eilish Releases Music Video for Viral Track ‘Birds of a Feather’

Billie Eilish has released a surprise music video for her breakout hit ‘Birds of a Feather’ from the album Hit Me Hard and Soft. The music video was directed by Aidan Zamiri.

In the clip, Eilish is seen singing in an empty office and is dragged around the arm by an invisible force in the otherwise solitary music video. The song itself explores themes of deep, intense love and Eilish’s desire to have a long lasting connection in her life — making the music video’s imagery keenly relevant without feeling overly forced or cliche.

‘Birds of a Feather’ is the second single from Hit Me Hard and Soft, following the album’s debut single Lunch. ‘Birds of a Feather’ peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Song of the Summer at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Eilish also performed the track during the 2024 Summer Olympics closing ceremony earlier this year when the Olympic flag was handed over from the city of Paris to Los Angeles, who will host the event in 2028.

‘Birds of a Feather’ and Hit Me Hard and Soft are now available on all streaming platforms.
